My own soil’s story

Before diving into creating our dream garden, we wanted to understand the soil we were starting with on our one-acre block of land. The soil here was not ideal, starting with only a healthy bush of blackberry and weeds, so we conducted a soil test to get a clear picture of what we were working with and to identify the steps we need to take to build a healthy and thriving garden from scratch. We invite you to take a look at the soil story generated from our own test. Click below to see the detailed report and discover the insights we gained about our soil's unique characteristics and needs.

How to capture your Soil’s Story

Start the conversation:

Order your T3LLUS Soil Storytelling Kit today and unlock the secrets of your soil. All you need is a trowel and a touch of curiosity. Within the kit, you'll find a pouch for your soil, some simple instructions, and a pre-paid express post envelope

Identify Your Site:

Pick a spot where your soil looks uniform. Aim for areas used similarly or where you've had growing woes.

Gather Your Sample:

Top 10 cm: Using your clean tool, grab small "cores" of soil from the top 10 centimeters. Avoid grabbing mulch or plant remains.

More is accurate: The more cores you take from your spot, the better! This gives a true picture of your soil's story.

Bucket mix, One soil: Combine all your cores in a bucket and give them a good mix. Now you've got one soil sample representing the whole spot!

Fill the bag: Scoop up 500 grams of the mixed soil—or enough to fill the bag provided and seal it in the bag

Register your sample online:

Scan the QR code on the front of the bag provided, and activate the sample by completing all the information requested - the sample number can be found on the barcode on the front of the same bag.

Seal and Send:

Place your soil sample in the provided express post envelope.

Mail It Promptly: If you can't send it the same day, store the bag in your fridge to keep it fresh.
